Evening run in Rincon de la Victoria

December 3, 2017 By John Leave a Comment

My new favourite running route in Rincon!

It starts from Rincon’s city centre just in front of the hotel Rincon Sol.

From there, you run up the dry river bed – the Rio Granadilla – into the mountains for a short circular route which takes in some fantastic views.

There’s no better place to watch the sunset over Malaga’s bay.

If going in the evening, bring a headlight!! Something I forgot.

The route is fairly straightforward and follows parts of Rincon’s Capitana trail running event.

Be warned, the terrain in this area is harsh and dry. Bring plenty of water and a hat if going in the summer months.

The last section (downhill) is fairly steep and technical, it’s best not done at night without a light 🙂

This is the track I followed is here.
